Pirramimma McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2006 750ml For the 2006 vintage we selected fruit from our Pethick Road block planted in 1967. Exceptional vintage conditions ensured optimum ripening and distinctive varietal character. Primary fermentation was in our original concrete vats and then barrel fermented to finish off in America and French Oak. Matured for 24 months in 30% new oak and 70% older oak. Lifted blackcurrants violets and mint dominate the bouquet with bramble notes and hints of mocha oak. With the palate showing intense briary blackberry red currant and black cherry flavours with hints of quince and toasty oak. A powerful yet elegant wine framed by firm tannins and structured oak finishing with great length. Please double decant for early drinking. Cellar up to 2020 under the right conditions.
